iON+ is shaping the future of smart, resilient, and profitable energy management for everyone
Since its first operation in 2018 – iON+ has grown into a market leading asset management and optimisation system, delivering improved up time, greater insight and increased profitability for leading energy players.
Originally devised by TGG Solutions, with a focus on flexible generation assets, the platform grew its capabilities after it was acquired by Conrad Energy. New technologies – such as BESS, solar and wind generation – were quickly added.
Our key principles are to provide seamless connectivity, clear and comprehensive data visualisation and insight-driven solutions to power growth and profitability for asset owners.
2018
Following a long period of development, the first flexgen asset was dispatched successfully via iON+.

2019
Work was completed to blueprint connectivity in the iON+ system, ensuring the ability to connect and dispatch all types of asset technology.
A further 6 flexgen sites were added to the iON+ portfolio under management, in a controlled growth period.

2020
We added the Viridis Power portfolio to iON+. This consisted of a further 20 peaker sites. All assets were auto-dispatching within a week.

2021
We connected our first BESS asset to iON+ alongside a further 10 flexgen sites, proving the robustness of the system.

2022
More functionality was added to the iON+ software including the introduction of EAC for BESS. The portfolio being managed by iON+ hit 50 flexgen sites.

A further 5 BESS sites and 3 solar installations were added to iON+ as we proved the value of the software in managing the technology.

2024
We onboarded our first route-to-market assets. These BESS assets consisted of 80MW of 2 hour batteries.

We released iON+ as a global SaaS solution – allowing third parties to licence the software to manage and maximise the potential of their own portfolios.
